Behind the Podcast:
Welcome to While We Render! This idea first took place while working at a vfx studio as a production management coordinator. Artists would often come into our small office, sit on the yellow couch and just start talking for 20 - 30 minutes while waiting on a render to complete on the farm. I looked forward to these spontaneous chats each day as these coworkers of mine quickly became long lasting friends. These talks soon expanded to coordinators, producers, supervisors and managers as they sought a quiet place to take a breather. Our office was quickly dubbed Café Prodman and became the go to office for good vibes and nice conversation (and occasionally resource and studio management etc.)

Clearmind VFX:
Beyond the desire to share VFX workers' stories on the "While We Render Podcast", David founded Clearmind VFX in 2025, an artist agency and management company that aims to support, protect, and connect freelance visual effects artists working in the commercial, episodic and film industry.
David is a former artist himself, with a background in photography, VFX and video editing. Using that background, combined with nearly a decade of project management experience, Clearmind VFX will provide the perfect solution for individual VFX artists looking for some help navigating the Visual Effects Industry.
